About PlayersOnly
PlayersOnly Poker is an online poker room on the Cake network which has adopted a truly unique approach to marketing: they only accept US players. That’s right, regardless of how astonishing it may seem in a post UIGEA world, this poker room only accepts players from Canada and the United States (with the exception of some states). In serving the US customer base, they’ve taken steps that few other online poker rooms can hope to equal: they accept certain payment methods that few other online poker rooms accept, thus facilitating the access of US player through the simplified financial procedures as well.
PlayersOnly Poker is not exactly what one would call a big poker room, but it has solid traffic and it offers plenty of action at all limits.
The group to which PlayersOnly Poker belongs, also operates an online casino and a sportsbook. Customer flow is obvious from these sources as well, and that doesn’t just mean that there will be plenty of players at the tables, it also means that the games will be juicy as well. The site offers more than $5 million in guaranteed prizes every month and the hand history feature of the software is excellent too. On the downside: the software does not support PokerTracker, and players from certain US states cannot register.
Player Traffic
Make no mistake, PlayersOnly Poker is not a big poker site in the classic sense of the word, but it is growing steadily and handsomely thanks to the influx of players their online casino and sportsbook provides and to the network-wide traffic which flows in, courtesy of the Cake network. The excellent promotion system and the solid software will retain players nicely. There are around 1,700 cash game players at their tables at peak hours. The overwhelming majority of these guys are focused on the NL and Limit Holdem tables. Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi/Lo and Stud cash tables get very little traffic.
Because many of their players come straight from the casino tables (they’re gamblers, not poker players), the quality of the competition is generally excellent. Flops seen percentages can shoot up all the way to the 60s, especially at the lower stakes where players have less to fear for and where traffic is plentiful.
Tournament tables attract around 6,000 players at peak hours, which is no surprise because PlayersOnly’s tournament offer is excellent.
Software
PlayersOnly Poker runs on the Cake software and as a consequence, it is fast and stable, offering excellent playability.
The statistics that you may have gotten used to playing in other poker rooms are all there: the flops viewed percentage is displayed together with the average pot sizes and other information of this nature. Real time, in-play statistics are also available. You can take notes on your opponents but in all honesty, the feature is a bit of a handful to use. You cannot click on the player you want to take notes on, you need to scroll down a list and select him/her from there instead.
The graphics are smooth and clear. The avatars are life-like. All in all, from a graphics perspective, the software is pretty much industry standard. The avatars can be customized and there are immediate hand-histories which also come in pretty handy.
Multi tabling is supported at 10 tables. The software doesn’t slow down one bit when you open several tables.

Bonus code: "PLAYERS100"
The sign-up bonus offered by PlayersOnly Poker is a rather generous deal. It is basically a 100% match on players’ deposits, up to $650. Only new players are entitled to receive this bonus and even they have to use a bonus code (PLAYER100) to have the bonus money transferred into their bonus money accounts. To be able to wager the money or to cash it out, players need to unlock it through real money play.
When you play at real money cash or tournament tables, you’ll earn FPPs (Frequent Player Points). These FPPs are the ones responsible for the redemption of your bonus. For every $1 that is raked off a pot in which you participated, you get 1 FPP. Each one of these FPPs will unlock $0.06 of your bonus.
FPPs can be earned in tournaments too, where for every $1 you pay in tournament fees, you receive 7 FPPs.
Once you’ve managed to unlock a $10 batch of your bonus, $10 will be transferred to your real money account. Every time you unlock a $10 increment, it is added to your real money balance automatically.
Players have 90 days to unlock their PlayersOnly Sign-up bonus.
Promotions
Promotions-wise, PlayersOnly Poker is a true bonanza. These guys have promotions coming out of every corner of their site. Their promotions page is so long that I could never hope to capture it all in this review, so I’ll only give you a few examples:
Their WSOP4FREE cash tables offer players the chance to win a $13,000 WSOP package for free. They have daily freeroll qualifiers running which lead up to a WSOP Main Event seat.
There are the Gold Rush tournaments, the daily Gold Card Lottery and the Gold Chips reward program. PlayersOnly Poker’s loyalty program is based on the frequent player points that players generate through real money play.
Support
Support at PlayersOnly Poker is excellent. They offer support via traditional email and phone, but they have live chat support as well. Chat support is by far the most practical and efficient way to offer player support.
