Interpoker into New Network
When NASDAQ traded CryptoLogic announced last year that that in the first quarter of this year their member online poker rooms will merge into the Boss Media Network, it seemed like a long way off; well now it's here, and Interpoker is the latest casino to be affected.
CryptoLogic has shifted its emphasis from poker provider to mainstream casino developer and provider; this stands largely behind the merging of the network's poker rooms to the Boss Media Network with the aim of cutting approximately $13 million per year. After a year of much internal squabbling between the company and its ex CEO Javaid Aziz, CryptoLogic is still hoping to recoup €1.5 million, and the announcement of the move was not received well by many. Several CryptoLogic sites closed or shifted networks, but InterPoker will not be one of them. Interpoker was established in 2002 and has developed one of the biggest customer bases in those years, giving them something to really boast about. Boss Media Network reported growths in 2008 that make it one of the fastest growing European networks, which might make these two gems a match made in heaven.
Interpoker offer a whopping $4,000,000 per month in guaranteed prizes which include daily £6k tournaments and weekly £35k tournaments, as well as satellites for these tournaments, head-hunter tournaments, and thunder tournaments. The rigorous tournament schedule is not likely to change under the Boss Media Network, neither is it's availability to US Players; still a no-no.
The shift to Boss Media Network is scheduled for March 17th; players should incur no inconvenience from the move.
