I told you previously about the excellent $1,000,000 guaranteed monthly tournament at Full Tilt poker. Just about the only problem with that is that it only comes around once every month. 
Do not worry though. The folks at Full Tilt are way ahead of us on this one too. There are weekly tournaments which are almost identical to the giant monthly guarantees, the only difference is the $500K prize-pool they offer, but obviously the buy-ins are also smaller than the $500+$35 for the monthly one.
You can buy in for as little as $216, but you don’t have to draw all that money away from your poker bankroll if you don’t want to. You can participate in a host of satellites, the cheapest of which is a $2-$0.25 buy-in one.
Again, the satellites that you play in are not just simple hurdles thrown into your path by Full Tilt to make sure you do indeed qualify. Although they serve as qualifiers for the weekly and monthly $500,000 and $1,000,000 respectively, there is more value in them. Suppose you win one, and you gain entry to the weekly $500K. If you play in a satellite again and win, you’ll receive the equivalent of a $500K weekly buy-in, which is $216. Furthermore, if you play in at least two satellites for the weekly guaranteed, you’ll become eligible for cash prizes through the Satellite Challenge. The more satellites you win for the week’s $500K, the higher up the Satellite Challenge rankings you’ll be. At the end of the week, the player to finish in 1st position gets $400, with the runner-up getting $200.

This whole weekly $500k promotion is like the little brother of the monthly $1,000,000, with smaller prizes and smaller buy-ins, but there are four of these smaller ones for every big one. Add all of them up, and you get a whopping $2,000,000 value in guaranteed prize-pools/per month. If that doesn’t sound appealing, I have no idea what does…
