In past decades, the primary reason to visit Las Vegas was to gamble. After all, Sin City pulled in far more gaming revenue than any other city in the world and they had the best casino resorts anywhere. However, times have changed and Macau has sped past Vegas in terms of casino revenue.

This being said, Las Vegas has worked hard to diversify their non-gaming offerings - especially when it comes to the nightlife scene. Now Vegas is home to a number of vibrant nightclubs where alcohol flows like water and thumping music keeps visitors partying into the early morning. Assuming you're thinking of traveling to this casino mecca to do some gambling, here are a few clubs that you should strongly consider visiting.

1. Marquee at the Cosmopolitan

One place that has really risen up the ranks in the Vegas club scene is the Marquee. With world-class DJ's, a vivacious crowd, unparalleled energy and several different sections, Marquee definitely has everything that you'd expect from a top club. It certainly doesn't hurt matters that many of Vegas' most beautiful women turn out here on a nightly basis.

2. Pure at Caesars Palace

Pure may not be able to equal the crazy energy that Marquee brings. However, it's still a classy establishment that does an excellent job of catering to a wide range of visitors. Everything from the music to the decor is sure to please the masses. And just like the Marquee, you can expect a large number of hotties in the crowd!

3. XS Nightclub at the Wynn

XS spares no expense on their weekend entertainment. They're not afraid to drop $250,000 or more on a performer or DJ as long as it keeps the patrons coming. While revelers are listening to the hottest music, they'll get to enjoy pool parties, a massive dance floor, and being in the company of various celebrities.

4. Tao at the Venetian

Why go to Macau when you can enjoy the Far East at Las Vegas' Tao. This unique club is complete with a variety of Asian furnishings and statues collected by the owners. Besides the intriguing atmosphere, this venue also offers the Tao Beach pool and lots of gorgeous ladies.

5. Hakkasan at the MGM Grand

Much like Pure, Hakkasan does a good job of catering to everybody. There's a big dance floor, 80,000-square-foot restaurant, Asian-themed garden area and an elevated VIP section. Visitors can also listen to the music of famed DJ Steve Aoki, who's signed for residency here.
