Mads Andersen (born in 1971) is a poker and backgammon player from Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition to being a professional poker player, Andersen was World Backgammon Champion in 2002. Andersen won the European Poker Tour’s (EPT) second season - Scandinavian Open - where he beat all his competition and won 2,548,040 Danish Krones (about $350,000). In his winning final hand he received A♦ Q♣, which beat Edgar Skjervold's A♠ T♥ with a board of K♥
4♥ 9♥ Q♦ T♣ (he made a pair of Queens).
